The Other Side of the Pond Wednesday, Dec 10 2008

I’ve been in England continually now for about a week. I must say, I love it, although the weather does cause frizz in my fur.

My new job is thrilling, especially after the long hours of paper clip sorting. That former occupation was so dull that I even brought Ernest along for a day. He certainly could not go to work with me now.

Speaking of the little bag, Grapes and I have been discussing the possibility of preschool. It would be nice for him to learn to type properly. Apparently, however, they don’t teach typing in kindergarten in the US. I wouldn’t know, I skipped that year after the other children attempted to stone the genius in their class. Of course, they failed, as I was and am stealthy.

Relocation Tuesday, Dec 2 2008

Peru was fun, but I got a call from the UK with slightly better pay. With the economic crisis, our family needs as much money as we can get.

I’ll be starting tomorrow.

Grapes came home today with school gossip. Sushi got around yet again, this time with the night custodian. What would her boyfriend think? I was afraid it would hinder our professional relationship once I started working with him but luckily they have reconciled. I think we will get along fine, considering that his girlfriend is friends with Grapes.

I look forward to working in the UK. I have always loved vacationing there in various resorts, particularly at Merlin’s Chummy Relax Resort. They have a mean paw massage.

To celebrate, I think another cupcake for Ernest is in order. He does love them so.
